Repair, re-mesh or replace
Frame straight, mesh torn: re-mesh it. Mechanism stuck: repair it. Frame bent: a new mosquito net is the answer.
Nine faults: what we do
| Fault | Usual cause | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Hole in the mesh | A cat, a toy, sun-aged fabric | Re-mesh from 200 AED |
| Mesh sags | Spline out of its groove, slack cord | Re-seat the spline or re-mesh |
| Off the track | Worn rollers, sand in the track | Clean, set back, adjust rollers |
| Sticks when sliding | Dust in the track, dry brush seals | Clean and adjust, new seals if needed |
| Roller will not stay down | Tired spring or catch | Mechanism repair |
| Will not stay shut | Magnets out of line | Adjust the magnetic catch |
| Handle broken | Pulled from one side | New handle, 50 AED |
| Frame bent | Knocked or forced into place | New screen to size |
| Frame corroded | Steel parts near the sea | New screen to size |
Prices for parts other than the handle are given after we see the screen.
Why mosquito nets break in Abu Dhabi
Fine sand settles in every track. Rollers then grind instead of rolling, and people push harder, which bends frames and snaps handles.
The sun does the rest: plastic parts and cheap mesh turn brittle on the sunny side long before the frame wears out.
- Move a screen by its handle, not the mesh
- Wipe the tracks after dusty days
- Never force a stuck screen

Before the technician comes
Move plants, toys and furniture away from the screen.
A broken handle or roller helps us bring the right part.
A stuck screen pulled hard often ends with a bent frame.
In a tower, check if the technician needs a pass or parking.
Honest downside
A bent frame cannot be repaired or re-meshed. In that case we make a new screen to size.

What our clients say
The existing nets had holes from sun damage. They replaced them with UV-resistant mesh that should last much longer.
We wanted nets that wouldn't block the view too much. They installed very fine black mesh that's almost invisible from inside. Perfect.
The nets in the guest room were torn and looked messy. They replaced them with new fiberglass mesh and the room looks fresh again.

Questions and answers
Do you repair screens from other companies?
Yes, whoever made them.
How much does a fly screen repair cost?
A handle is 50 AED, re-meshing from 200 AED. Other repairs are priced after we see the screen.
When is replacement better than repair?
When the frame is bent. Then we make a new screen to size.
Do you repair on site or take the screen away?
Adjustments are done on the spot. If a new part or new mesh is needed, you hear the price before any work starts.
My screen has come off its track. Can you fix it?
Yes, if the frame and track are straight. We clean the track, set the screen back and adjust the rollers so it stays in.
Do mosquito nets need regular maintenance?
Mostly cleaning. Keep the tracks free of sand and wash the mesh gently. Call us when something sticks, before it breaks.
