How the two halves meet
The panels meet on magnetic catches, so the join closes by itself when you bring them together. The panels are separate, so you can open one half or both.

Is there a gap where the two halves meet?
The halves meet on magnetic catches, so the join pulls closed when you bring them together.
Can I open only one half?
Yes. The two panels are separate: each folds to its own side of the opening.
Double pleated or a pair of hinged screen doors?
A hinged screen door needs room to swing. A pleated panel folds into a slim cassette, so it suits openings where there is no room to swing.
