Pleated mosquito nets for terraces and patio doors
A villa terrace exit gets Proxima on a wide garden door and Corner where the terrace turns a corner. On the side the shamal hits, anti-dust mesh. An open terrace with no walls is a job for a zip screen, not pleated.

On an open terrace pleated would fold in the wind, so we do not put it there.
Mosquito net against sand and shamal
Villa terraces take the sand the shamal carries in. On the windward side we put anti-dust mesh, elsewhere standard mesh is enough.

Honest minus
Pleated does not belong on an open terrace: the wind folds it. Also, sand settles in the folds and needs brushing out.

What our clients say
The existing nets had holes from sun damage. They replaced them with UV-resistant mesh that should last much longer.
We wanted nets that wouldn't block the view too much. They installed very fine black mesh that's almost invisible from inside. Perfect.

Questions and answers
Can a pleated screen close a whole terrace?
A glazed terrace, yes, section by section. An open terrace with no walls needs a zip screen instead.
What about sandstorms?
Keep the screen folded during a storm. On the windward side we fit anti-dust mesh.
Pleated or zip for a pergola?
Zip. It runs in side guides, which pleated on an open pergola does not have.
