Check your mosquito nets before the season
Open and close it. It should move smoothly and close at the magnet.
Hold a torch behind the mesh in the evening.
Any gap at the frame or bottom track lets insects in.
A clean mesh lets more air through on the first cool evening.
A torn mosquito net needs only mesh
If the frame is sound, you do not need a new screen. Re-meshing starts from 200 AED and is quicker to arrange in the rush.
When screens are not the answer
A screen only works when it is closed. It will not help with a terrace door left open all evening or with water standing in plant saucers on the balcony.

Can you fix my old screens instead?
Often, yes. Torn mesh is replaced in the same frame, and a stiff pleated net can be adjusted.
