Mosquito nets in a tower: what to agree with building management
Before fitting, ask your building management whether screens need their approval and a work permit, and when contractors can use the service lift. Rules differ from tower to tower, so ask in writing. A pleated mosquito net sits inside the window or door frame and barely changes the facade, which helps the conversation.

Why ask before mosquito nets go in
A tower has a facade the owners agreed on, shared corridors and lifts, and a management company that answers for them. Work inside a flat may need its permission.
Rules are not the same in every building. The only reliable answer comes from your own management office.
What to ask building management
Ask whether they want to see the system, the colour or the fixing first.
Some buildings ask for a permit and the contractor's details before the visit.
Ask which days and hours are allowed for work and for drilling.
How fitters bring tools in: service lift, loading bay, visitor parking.
Ask about the balcony separately, since it faces the street.

Step 1 of 5What opening is it for?
Why pleated mosquito nets keep the facade
A pleated net sits inside the window or door frame and folds into a narrow cassette at the side. From the street it is hard to spot.
Paint the frame in the window colour, at 250 AED per running metre, and the building keeps its look.

The answer may be no
Some buildings may allow nothing on the balcony side, or only one frame colour. Ask before ordering, because every screen is made to measure for your openings.
What our clients say
The existing nets had holes from sun damage. They replaced them with UV-resistant mesh that should last much longer.
We wanted nets that wouldn't block the view too much. They installed very fine black mesh that's almost invisible from inside. Perfect.
The nets in the guest room were torn and looked messy. They replaced them with new fiberglass mesh and the room looks fresh again.

Questions and answers
Do I need a NOC for mosquito screens?
It depends on the building. Some management companies ask for one, others do not. Ask your management office in writing before the visit.
Who applies for the work permit?
Ask your management who should apply. We send whatever details they need from the fitter's side.
Will people see the screen from outside?
A pleated net inside the frame, in the window colour, is hard to notice from the street. Management may still want to see it first.
I rent the flat. Who do I ask?
The landlord first, then building management. Our note on rented flats covers the landlord side.
Send the building rules with photos
