Ordering mosquito nets in Abu Dhabi: what happens at each visit
Two visits. At the first, free across Abu Dhabi, a surveyor measures every opening, shows mesh samples, agrees the system and colour, and you get the exact price. The screens are made to those measurements. At the second visit the team installs them and checks each one with you before leaving.

Why nobody quotes properly from a photo
Openings are rarely square, frame depths differ and handles stick out. A photo gives a first idea of price, the survey gives the real one.
A pleated net on a patio door is 1,550 AED per door. Windows, corners and unusual openings are priced after the free survey.
What happens at the mosquito net survey
Width and height at several points, and the depth of the frame.
Handles, sills and anything the screen could hit.
You look through real samples and pick a profile colour.
You get it on the spot, before anything is made.
Decide the mesh now, not later
Changing your mind after installation means re-meshing, from 200 AED. A cat, a dusty side or a sunny room is worth mentioning at the survey.
When to order mosquito nets
Before the cool season. From October everyone opens their windows at once and the calendar fills up, so late summer is the easy time to book.
Before the technician leaves, check
Open and close every screen to the end.
The screen should catch and hold when closed.
Look along the edges and the bottom track.
Ask how to clean it. Frame 5 years, mechanism 2, installation 2.
When not to order new screens
If the frames are straight and only the mesh is torn or tired, re-meshing is cheaper. If you are leaving the flat in a few weeks, a shop curtain may be enough.
