Glazed or open balcony
A glazed balcony is the easy case. Pleated sections close the openings in the glazing and are fitted from inside, so nothing changes on the facade.
An open balcony needs walls or posts to fix to. A corner without a post takes PVL Corner; open spans between posts take zip screens.

Wind on a high floor
Higher up, the wind pushes harder on a large area of mesh. For an enclosed balcony we suggest reinforced mesh at 600 AED per m².
A corner catches wind from two sides. On a shamal day, fold the pleated panels back into their cassettes.
Enclosing is often more than you need
If you rarely sit outside, a screen on the door gives the same quiet night for much less. Enclose the balcony only if you use it.

Can you screen the whole balcony?
Yes. A glazed balcony gets pleated sections, an open one Corner or zip screens. The price comes after the free measurement.
Do I need the building's approval?
A screen on the door inside the flat changes nothing outside. For anything visible on the facade, ask your building management first.
Is a balcony mosquito net safe for a cat?
No mosquito net is a safety barrier. Pet-resistant mesh stands up to claws, but it will not stop a fall.
